GEDSER tourist attractions

+8 attractions

Gedser is the southernmost town in Denmark. A lot of 19th-century buildings have been preserved here, and the most important point of the city is a large port with a ferry port and a cargo terminal.

The buildings of the city developed in the 19th century. A neo-Gothic church and the Gedser water tower were built at that time. The historic Fire Station in Gedser now houses a fire museum. You can learn about the history of the region and the local nature at the Det Sorte Geo Museum. The most significant buildings in the city include the Gedesby Windmill and the small wooden Yellow Palace.

The city is known primarily for its location. The biggest attraction of Gedser is Sydstenen - the southernmost point of Denmark. On the cape there are sheer cliffs and a pebble beach. Much better to relax is Gedesby Beach, where you can meet many holidaymakers in high season.
