The original wooden circular bridge is located on the Varna beach. It measures 60 m in diameter and 2.4 m in width. Its circumference is 188 m, and its height changes with the tides. It offers panoramic views of the bay and the beach surrounded by trees.
The bridge is located on the site of the former historic pier. It was designed by Danish architects Niels Povlsgaard and Johan Gjødes. It was built in 2015 for the Sculpture by the Sea art exhibition. Originally it was only an art installation, but after the exhibition ended, due to pressure from the inhabitants, the bridge was left for everyday use. The structure is dismantled during the winter and reassembled in the spring.
