The extensive sandy beach on Aarhus Bay is surrounded by the picturesque Marselisborg forest. It is about 1000 meters long, and its width ranges from 25 to 40 meters. It is covered with soft, white sand interspersed with rows of large stones that protect the coast from erosion. It is a good place for swimming, sunbathing and walking along the seashore.
There is a single pier on the beach that goes about 20 meters into the sea. You can sunbathe on it or jump into the water. At this distance, the water depth is at least 2 m. Therefore, be careful of children swimming on the beach.
The place is equipped with basic sanitary facilities, and in the summer season there is a first aid point. The beach is guarded by experienced lifeguards. The quality of water and services is confirmed by the international "Blue Flag" badge awarded to the beach.
