ParaZoo is a small zoo operating at the animal rescue station run by the Czech Union for Nature Conservation. Wild animals characteristic of the Czech Republic live here on the paddocks and in cages, because of injuries they could not return to their natural environment.
The station serves primarily education. Examples of animals show how to save them, but also the injuries that can be caused by human activity. Only sick animals live in ParaZoo, after injuries and accidents that would not be able to survive on their own in the wild.
In the station you can see, among others, lynxes, martens, owls, buzzards, otters and storks. Nesting boxes and animal shelters made by people are also presented. Station employees also show how to help wildlife that is in danger.
