The neo-Gothic fountain built in 1845 in honor of the emperor Franz Josef I. It is a soaring tower with a mounted statue of the emperor inside. It is surrounded by 16 figures symbolizing various regions of the Czech Republic, and on the front is the allegory of Prague. The fountain is richly decorated with elements referring to gothic cathedrals, and in its lower part water symbolizing the Vltava flows.
