The "Michał" mine is part of the Landek Park and mining museum in Ostrava. It is a mine opened in 1914, which operated until the end of the 20th century. Currently, a museum operates in its buildings and adits. You can see how the work of miners looked like and go their daily route from the cloakroom to the exit from the plant.
A large part of the original equipment from the first half of the 20th century has been preserved in the "Michał" Mine. Visitors follow the route that miners came to work. It starts in the cloakroom and check-in area. From here, one went to the elevator and went down to the sidewalks. In the adits you can see all the equipment used at work. The costumes of miners and their personal equipment are also shown. The route ends in surface washrooms. You can also see the mining canteen. At the mine there is also a machine room with original and still working steam machines.
