One of the oldest castles in northwestern Bohemia was built at the beginning of the 14th century. The medieval fortress was entered in the register of Czech monuments. The most famous inhabitant of the Gothic castle was Bohuslav Hasištejnský of Lobkovice - a Czech humanist and traveler.
