Hydroelectric Power Station Hučák
Local name: Labská vodní elektrárna Hučák
The small Hučák hydroelectric power plant is located on the Elbe, next to the weir of the same name. Built in the early twentieth century, it still works and at the same time is a technical monument that can be visited. The power plant has a Renewable Energy Information Center.
The Art Nouveau power plant building was built in 1909–1912 according to the design of František Sander. Three 270 kW turbines work in it. It is built of brick, with a roof structure stretched over metal supports. It presents an example of industrial architecture typical for this period. The main building is topped with a clock tower.
