The Kunětická Hora Gothic Castle is a well-known attraction with many legends. Tourists visiting this place can see the interior of the palace, armory, dungeons, knights' hall, the chapel of St. Catherine and the tower usually serving as a viewpoint. The castle also hosts numerous events such as craft fairs, historical fencing shows or theater performances. It is also possible to organize weddings and family or company receptions here.
The first stronghold built here probably came from the mid-fourteenth century. Its reconstruction took place in the years 1491-1548, when the owners of the castle were the Pernštejns. A huge fortress was built then with two towers with a thought-out fortification system. During the Thirty Years' War the castle was destroyed. It was not until the beginning of the 20th century that it was partially reconstructed according to the design of D. Jurkovič.
