The House of Croatian Artists in Zagreb is a building designed by Ivan Meštrović, is an example of architectural avant-garde. Exhibitions of works by famous artists and concerts are organized here.
The pavilion was created in 1938 as an art gallery, in 1941, after the creation of the so-called The independent Croatian state was transformed into a mosque, its new interior was designed by Stjepan Planic and Zvonimir Požgaj.
In 1947 there was another change, three minarets standing next to the building were destroyed, the fountain also disappeared, the mosque began to function as the Museum of the Revolution.
It was only after the end of the civil war in 1995 that the building was handed over to the Croatian Society of Artists and again became a place of exhibitions and meetings of art lovers.
