The Museum of Ancient Glass in Zadar (Muzejan čkogstakla) is the only facility of its kind in the world. Visitors can see here about 2,000 exhibits made of glass, mainly from ancient times (from the first century BC to the fifth century AD). These are, among others large pitchers and fish-shaped dishes. The collection is complemented by tools for processing glass.
The exhibition includes items found during archaeological excavations in Zadar and other towns, including Ninu, Starigrad, Asserii. It shows how the techniques of making glass utility items have changed over the centuries.
The exhibition area of the museum is 2500 m². You can also use the extensive collection and visit the glass workshop. The museum has a conference room and a shop with original souvenirs.
