The Natural History Museum (Natural History Museum) and the Zoological Garden have been only a museum since 2014 - the zoo was closed due to protests from ecological organizations. Currently, the museum's collections, divided into mineral and geological, paleontological, botanical and zoological parts, have hundreds of thousands of exhibits. The permanent exhibition includes, among others an impressive collection of shells, numbering nearly 7 thousand copies.
The second permanent exhibition is devoted to the forest fauna of the Croatian Adriatic coast. It was prepared in the form of a cycle of dioramas, filled with prepared animals (mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds) from the museum's collection. The museum also offers temporary exhibitions, which are thematic presentations of fragments of its own collections.
The facility has a well-developed educational offer. Part of the permanent exhibition is a special space for play and workshop classes for children.
