Nature park Telašćica is a nature park covering the 10 km long bay of Telašćica - one of the largest bays on the Adriatic, which cuts deep into the island of Dugi Otok. The island has the largest land attractions of the park: the Grpašćak peak (161 m above sea level), exceeding 160 m above sea level cliffs and the salt lake Mir.
Over 400 species of terrestrial and 350 aquatic plants and over 300 species of fauna have been classified in the park. There are, among others rare red corals. The bay is primarily a paradise for sailors, but the park's offer also includes canoeing, walking and cycling. Camping, lighting a fire, fishing, collecting crustaceans and climbing rocks are strictly prohibited.
The area around Telašćica bay was already inhabited in the Paleolithic period and then in the Roman period. This is evidenced by archaeological finds near the Hall, ruins of Roman possessions (Mala Proversa) and pre-Romanesque churches (Dugopolij).
