Muzej Grada is a city museum, gathering collections related to various forms of cultural activity of the city, grouped in several collections. There are artifacts related to music, works of art, philatelic and photographic collections. The museum also collects exhibits in the field of film and theater, presents weapons and works of artistic crafts. The institution established in 1994 is located in a building erected in 1976 in the courtyard of the Governor's Palace. The facility was created by changing the name and business profile of the former National Revolution Museum.
The museum does not have a permanent exhibition - its activity is based on preparing temporary presentations and making individual collections available to visitors. One of the most interesting is the collection of perfectly preserved and fully functional music boxes, turntables and musical instruments.
An important part of the collection is the military collection. It gathered weapons from the 19th and 20th centuries, including personal items belonging to the participants of World War II and documents from the time of the civil war.
