Park Angiolina was created in the years 1845-1860. It was originally a garden surrounding the Angolina villa, belonging to the wealthy merchant Iginio Scarpy. From his numerous travels in the Far East, South America and Australia, Scrapa brought seedlings of exotic plants to his garden. Currently, 159 species of plants grow on the 3.5-hectare park, among which Japanese camellias are particularly numerous.
In the center of the park is the villa Angiolina, named after the late wife of Iginio Scarpa. Already in the days of the first owners (Iginio and his son Paola), the palace and the magnificent garden became a tourist attraction - a meeting place for social and financial cream - even the Austrian Empress, Anna Maria, visited here. From 1882, a very popular spa operated here.
A noteworthy object in the gardens is the church of St. Jakova (Jakub) - the oldest temple in this area. It received its current shape during its expansion in 1937.
