St. John’s Fortress

Local name: Tvrđava Sv. Ivan

The fort owes its name to the adjacent church of St. John. In the Middle Ages, between the fort and the tower of St. on the opposite side of the port basin Łukasz was dragged a chain that prevented foreign units from entering the port. Currently, the fort is the seat of the Maritime Museum and oceanarium.
