The seat of the city authorities consists of two wings - the older, late-Gothic, from 1519-1539 and the Renaissance, erected at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. The oldest part of the town hall are cellars, which were built before 1100. The facade is decorated with a gallery of statues from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries century, which represent the counts of Flanders.
