The antique car museum is based in the south wing of the Cinquantenaire Palace. The facility began its activity in 1986 and is based on the collection of Gantois Ghislain Maha. The museum has about 300 cars and 60 motorcycles, illustrating the history of motoring since 1886. - from horse-drawn vehicles to the latest luxury exhibits.
The facility has a large and diverse collection of European and American cars. We will see here among others Bentley 1928, Bugatti 1930, Cord 19 from 1930. It is also worth seeing the achievements of the Belgian automotive precursors, e.g. the model of the 8-cylinder Minerva from 1930. An interesting collection of commercial vehicles used by municipal services, e.g. fire trucks - Minerva from 1933, or Delahaye from 1907, as well as Packard from 1933 used as an ambulance.
The object shows the years of evolution that cars have undergone in terms of technology, comfort and safety. On the ground floor, in a small room, very old horse carriages have been set up, and in another room there is a small exhibition dedicated to the future automate. We will also learn about the biographies of the most important figures in the history and development of the automotive industry.
