The art museum is housed in a historic 18th-century mansion. You can see an extensive collection of paintings and sculptures from the 15th century to the present. Part of the collection comes from the collection of the Groeninge museum. Adjacent to the residence is a picturesque city garden, which has also been made available to the public.
On the first floor there is a permanent exhibition dedicated to the work of the British-Brugge artist Frank Brangwyn. It includes a collection of paintings, watercolors, drawings and graphics, devoted to both his travels and depicting the difficult living and working conditions of workers. There are also furniture, tapestries, ceramics and jewelry created according to Brangwyna's designs.
On the ground floor you can see, first of all, temporary exhibitions devoted to art from the 19th and 20th centuries. They mainly display graphic art and are usually borrowed from the main building of the Groeninge Museum.
