The Museum of Contemporary Art presents works of art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Here are the works of artists such as Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Yoko Ono and Gerard Richer. The museum's collection includes about 9,000 items such as paintings, sculptures, installations, drawings, graphics, photos, films, architectural models and furniture.
The main areas presented in the museum are pop art, photorealism, fluxus, new realism, Viennese ownership, as well as photography, video and film. A cinema has been operating on the premises since 2011, created thanks to the initiative of the artist Heimo Zobernig, which presents various connections between film and fine art.
The museum also organizes various temporary exhibitions about other areas, including natural history.
