The Museum Quarter is one of the largest architectural complex of this type in the world - it covers an area of over 60 thousand. m2. Numerous concerts, exhibitions, author's evenings, dance shows and much more take place here. The complex includes museums, galleries, cafes, restaurants and shops.
The Museum District includes: Leopold Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art (so-called mumok), Kunsthalle Wien, Tanzquartier, Centrum Architektury, ZOOM (Museum for children) and numerous rooms and studios.
The whole is a combination of two styles - postmodern and baroque.
