The Main Square in Graz dates back to 1160. It is a beautiful and very atmospheric place, but also an important transport hub - you can get to every corner of the city from here. The most important architectural objects include the Town Hall and the Cathedral.
When visiting Hauptplatz, you can not miss the White House, Eagle Pharmacy, Palais Sturgkh or the monument to the Archduke Jan Habsburg, who is almost recognized worldwide, who just died in Graz. A well-known fountain is also a beautiful fountain located in the central point of the Main Square.
Car traffic was banned on the Main Square in Graz a few years ago to maintain the unique atmosphere and charm of this place.
