Brand is a year-round tourist destination located at the foot of a population of almost 3 thousand. m above sea level of the Schesaplana mountain. In summer, it is a great base for hiking and mountain biking enthusiasts, and in winter, the Brandnertal ski area is open.
Visiting Brand and its surroundings is, above all, an opportunity to be in constant contact with nature and beautiful views. The village is situated at the end of a deep alpine valley. The Schesaplana Massif towering above it is popular with mountain hikers and climbers. A major attraction of the Brand is the Lünersee dam lake, which can be reached via the Lünersee cable car. There are many routes leading from the lake, from simple walking routes along its shores, to climbing alpine ridges that require high efficiency. Another form of active recreation is mountain biking, and cyclists have more than 70 km of routes prepared here. You can also take advantage of the Alvierbad outdoor swimming pools and recreation area.
In winter, Brand's attraction is the Brandnertal ski resort with approx. 50 km of downhill slopes, mostly easy and of medium difficulty. They are served by several lifts and cableways, such as the Brandnertal Ges and the Palud. There are also cross-country ski runs, a toboggan run, and local offices offer snowshoe tours.
