Ethnographischer Park "Romulus Vuia"
Lokaler Name: Parcul Etnografic "Romulus Vuia"
The Ethnographic Park "Romulus Vuia" is an open-air part of the Ethnographic Museum in the city of Cluj-Napoca. It was opened in 1929, which makes it the oldest open-air museum in Romania. You can learn about the realities of Romanian peasants in the past centuries. The park is open to tourists from spring to early fall.
The park has 13 traditional farms transferred from various regions of Romania, including Maramures, the Transylvanian Plain, Bystrica and Nösnerland. In addition, there are 3 historic wooden churches, 5 craft workshops and over 30 utility buildings, such as mills, forges, etc. It is also worth paying attention to the wooden, intricately decorated cemetery gate. The oldest buildings come from 1678.
