Șчей ворот

The Șchei Gate is one of the city gates in Brasov. It was built in 1827 in the vicinity of the Catherine Gate, which was no longer sufficient in the face of increasing road traffic and was transformed into a warehouse.

The gate was built of stones and bricks in the shape of a classic triumphal arch. It has three entrances. The largest, middle one is intended for car traffic, and the two smaller side ones are pedestrian crossings. Above them you can see plates with the date of the gate's construction.
