Sochy is a village located on the outskirts of the Roztocze National Park, at the foot of the Bukowa Mountain. There are numerous natural interesting places and hiking trails in its vicinity.
The town has modern buildings because in 1943 it was completely burnt down by the Germans. During the pacification, about 180 inhabitants of the village died, who are buried in the cemetery in Socha.
The biggest attraction of the village is its location at the gates of the Roztocze National Park. Its center is the neighboring Zwierzyniec, and in the vicinity there is the Educational and Museum Center of the Roztoczański National Park and the trail leading to Bukowa Góra. From the vantage point below its peak, there is a beautiful view of the undulating landscape of Roztocze fields.
The Echo Ponds on the Świerszcz stream are also a beautiful place in the vicinity of Socha. There is a beach above the larger of them in summer. it is also an area where Polish ponies graze in the wild, bred in the Roztocze National Park.
