Kathryn Albertson Park
The Rookery is a vast park and garden area that was established in 1913. Currently, it is a complex of large patches of lawns, clusters of trees and shrubs, ponds and streams with small artificial waterfalls. Many flower beds, flower beds and a rock garden were established here.
The park has its own cafe and toilets, there is a tennis court on the outskirts. The Rookery is a good place for walking, jogging or cycling. Wide asphalt alleys enable easy movement and access to most places in the park for people with disabilities.
An important action of the park is the Common Community Garden - a project of using the garden as a place for educational activities. At the workshops run by volunteers, you can learn the basics of plant growing, compost production, grafting trees - gain knowledge and experience to run your own plot of land designated in the park's garden.
