Museum of the Monastery of St. George

The former Benedictine Abbey was founded in the first half 11th century. It is one of the most important Swiss architectural monuments from the late medieval and early Renaissance. In the monastery you can see, among others late gothic cloisters and a 16th century ballroom with original frescoes. The estate houses a museum dedicated to the history of the abbey.
