Hagenwil Castle

The water castle was built at the beginning of the 13th century and is the only surviving building of this type in eastern Switzerland. The palace has often changed its owners over the years. It belonged to the St. Gallen monastery for the longest time, but for over 200 years and seven generations it has been owned by the Angehrn family, which runs a catering company within the complex.
