Växjö is often called Sweden's greenest city. This is related both to the local green areas and the pro-ecological solutions introduced since the 1980s. It is also an important cultural center with numerous museums and a great base for discovering the Småland region.

The numerous parks such as the Linnaeus Garden, the Kingdom of the Bee Kingdom Garden and the Strandbjörket Park are great places to relax.
