Västerås Cathedral

Originally a Roman Catholic, now Lutheran temple was built in the 12th century, and then enlarged and equipped many times. Most of the original, renaissance and baroque furnishings were removed during the modernization in the 19th century. The oldest and most valuable object is the 15th-century sapphire altar.
