The temple, built in 1939, according to the will of the founder, Hjalmar Lundbohm, a potentate in the extraction of iron ore, was to resemble a Lappish tent. The execution of this task was entrusted to the architect Gustaf Wickman, who combined ethnic inspirations with the motifs of American villa architecture.
