The Trollskogen Nature Reserve is located on the northeastern Cape of Öland. It is part of the Böda Ekopark. It includes an area of pine forests, oak groves, pebble beach and meadows. Several centuries-old oaks grow here, including the oldest oak in Öland, 800-900 years old.
There is a natural visitor center in the reserve with exhibitions on local fauna, flora, geology and history. Guided tours and themed events are organized in the center.
During your visit, it is worth paying attention to the iron Age tombs preserved here. The burial mounds in the forest date back to 800 A.D. On the beach, you can see the remains of the wreckage of a three-masted schooner, which ran aground and was thrown ashore in 1926.
