Byxelkrok is a tourist and holiday destination in Öland. There are sandy beaches here, and the village has partially retained its old fishing architecture. Its surroundings are perfect for walking and cycling tours.

In the past, at the site of today's Byxelkrok, there was a port used by the Vikings. Later, a town inhabited by fishermen developed here. Its remnant is the picturesque village of Böda with colorful wooden houses and fishing boats standing on the beach.

There is no shortage of nice sandy beaches around Byxelkrok, such as Homrevet Beach and Lyckesand Beach. A large part of the coast is occupied by the Neptune Fields nature reserve. There are also nice walking areas, incl. Trollskogen, a seaside coniferous forest with numerous tree trunks twisted by the winds. Its pride is the sprawling Trolleken Oak. A popular destination for walks is also the Lange Erik sea flying and the northern cape of Öland.

The attractions of Byxelkrok include the marina where both fishing and tourist boats are moored, and the Böda forest railway, which is used for tourist purposes.
