Atalaya Castle

The castle was built in the 12th century by Muslims. From the first half of In the 13th century, the fortress became the property of the Kingdom of Castile. The facility has been declared a national monument. The castle is the landmark of the city of Villena. It is the most important example of Islamic art in Spain.
