The building was erected in the second half of the 16th century commissioned by Francisco de los Cobos y Molina as a family tomb chapel. The property is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The chapel is an excellent example of the plateresque style and is the most beautiful private religious building of the Spanish Renaissance.
