The Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia was founded in the second half. Of the 20th century and is one of the three Catalan national museums. The museum is located in the amazing old weaving mill of Aymerich, Amat and Jover. The iconic textile factory was opened in 1909. The author of the unusual design was the Catalan architect Lluís Muncunill. The building is considered a masterpiece of Catalan modernism. Its characteristic feature is the original roof created from over 160 shell-shaped arches. The company ceased operations in 1978.
