The church was built in the first half Eighteenth century. The building was declared a national monument. The baroque temple was severely damaged during the siege of Zaragoza. As a result of reconstruction in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the church acquired many features of the neoclassical style. The showcase of the temple is the chapel-mausoleum by Ricardo Magdalena.
