Sant Josep de sa Talaia is a town and municipality that covers the southern part of Ibiza. Although the city is located far from the sea, on the coast there are small holiday resorts with nice beaches and good tourist development.
The town of Sant Josep de sa Talaia is situated in a mountainous area and has traditional architecture. In its center there is the 17th-century church of St. Anthony. However, the greatest attractions of Sant Josep de sa Talaia are on the coast, away from the main town.
In coves surrounded by rocky slopes, there are numerous intimate beaches such as Cala Comte, Cala Bassa and Cala Vedella. Crystal clear water, peace and the surroundings of a pine forest are perfect for relaxation. There are also developed and larger beaches. These include D 'En Bossa Beach, close to numerous hotels and holiday apartments, and Beach de Es Cavallet with natural rock pools and beach soccer fields.
A beautiful place in Sant Josep de sa Talaia is the Cape of Cap Llentrisca and the Ses Portes tower, standing at the southernmost point of Ibiza. They are a destination for walks, especially in the evening during sunset.
