Penarronda Beach

The sandy wild beach of Peñarronda is located next to the village of Ribeira, at the mouth of the Peñarronda stream. It has the status of a nature monument, mainly due to the dune field covering its north-west part. There are many species of coastal vegetation here - it is the only place on the coast of Asturias where malcolmia can be found. It is also a nesting place for oysters.
