Merced Square

The place is famous for the tenement house in which Pablo Picasso was born in 1881 (now it houses a museum). The square is one of the most populous places for evening meetings and entertainment until dawn in numerous cafes and bars. In high season, open-air events and performances by street artists are often organized here.
