The sculpture by Louise Bourgeois was made of steel and marble. It presents a monumental spider web and is meant to symbolize motherhood. The whole measures approx. 9 m in diameter and 10 m in height. The spider's body rests on 8 legs between which one can pass. From the bottom you can also see a sack with eggs made of marble.
