The 17th-century temple stands in the place of its predecessors - churches from the 12th and 16th centuries, which were destroyed during the Tartar and Turkish invasions. In front of the temple there are statues of St. Florian (patron of Lendava), Saint. Stephen (first king of Hungary) and the blessed Slovenian bishop, Anton Martin Slomšek.
