The temple was built in 1912 according to the design of the architect Janez Pascher. The church is known for its beautiful stained glass windows and the marble, decorated with mosaics, main altar. World War I prevented the implementation of the original architectural plans - it was only in 1986 that the 52-meter belfry was built.
