Although it was once a magnificent medieval fortress, and today barely ruins of the castle is still an impressive and impressive historical building. The castle is undoubtedly one of the oldest castles in Slovenia. Its exact origin is not entirely known, and the first owner of the court that history tells is the family of the Savinjski family from the 12th century.
The entrance to the castle leads through the renovated bridge, once it consisted of two parts - for riders and pedestrians. The tower is a two-story building, where once on one of the floors there was a castle chapel, now you can see a permanent photo exhibition entitled "Zovneski grad".
After 1816, the castle was deserted and became a ruin that is still being renovated. The residential part of the palace is almost completely destroyed.
