The building erected in 1831 from the money of the Trnava authorities and donations from residents is the oldest theater building in Slovakia. After World War II, it was a theater for children and young people - now it also offers a repertoire for adults. Since 2001, he is named after Ján Palárik (1822-1870), one of the greatest Slovak playwrights of the 19th century.
