The city tower in Trnava is a Renaissance building standing on the Old Town Square. The square-shaped building is crowned with a tin helmet. On the top floor there is a viewing terrace from which you can admire the panorama of the area.
The tower was built in the 16th century by an architect operating in this area, master Jakub. It is considered one of the most beautiful in Slovakia. Its regular shape is divided by cornices. Above the entrance there is a small loggia. A sundial was painted on the facade.
The city tower is a symbol of Trnava. A big attraction is the opportunity to enjoy the views from the balcony located just below the Renaissance helmet.
