Dobszyńska Ice Cave is located in the Slovak Paradise. It is one of the most beautiful Slovak caves and has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2000. A tourist route of around 500 meters has been marked out. You can see ice stalactites, stalagmites and stalactites on it.
Dobszyńska Ice Cave belongs to the largest in Slovakia, with more than 23 kilometers in length, the Strateński Caves system. The ice in it has persisted since the Quaternary period. There is no hot air here, and temperatures during the year range from -3.8 to +0.5 degrees Celsius.
In the cave you can admire the ice-formed formations, such as stalagmites, overhangs and icefall. Thanks to the right backlight, all the beauty is extracted from them. Only a small part of the underground has been made available for sightseeing. Many species of bats live in the cave.
