The center is dedicated to the nature of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve. It includes a modern aquarium as well as permanent and temporary exhibitions. The permanent exhibition includes dioramas that reflect the habitats characteristic of the region. You can see nearly 50 species of plants, 44 species of birds, 12 species of mammals and 3 species of reptiles.
The aquarium houses a huge tank with a capacity of 150 tons. It houses 24 species of native fish found in the Danube Delta and the Black Sea, as well as 23 species of reef fish. You can also see marine invertebrates and corals imported directly from Indonesia. Part of the aquarium has been arranged in the shape of a tunnel, in which you can feel as if you are walking on the seabed.
In the center there is also a playground for children and a gift shop. The building has been modernized and is adapted to the needs of the disabled, there is a convenient access ramp and an internal elevator.
