Piața Unirii is the largest and most important city square in the city of Cluj-Napoca. It is also one of the largest in the country - it is 220 m long and 160 m wide. In its center stands the Church of St. Michael, which is the second largest Gothic church in Romania with the highest church tower in the country, reaching 80 meters.
Another monument standing in the square is the monument depicting the king of Hungary, Croatia and the Czech Republic, Matthias Corvinus. The square is also surrounded by several noteworthy buildings. There are elegant palaces here, including Josik Palace and Rhédey Palace, the old town hall and the National Art Museum.
